BTS Jimin's 'Who' Surpasses 300 Million Streams on Spotify, Fastest Record for a K-Pop Solo Artist

BTS member Jimin's solo track 'Who' has surpassed 300 million streams on Spotify, setting the fastest record for a K-Pop solo artist's song.

This achievement is seen as further proof of Jimin's global popularity and musical influence.

As of August 17, 'Who' recorded 300,266,758 streams on Spotify, reaching this milestone just 30 days after its release.
This is the fastest achievement for a K-Pop solo artist in Spotify's history.
On the same day, 'Who' ranked number one on Spotify's 'Global Daily Top Songs' chart with 9,809,375 streams and entered the charts in over 50 countries. Notably, it secured the top spot in 14 countries, including South Korea and Japan, setting a record for the most number one rankings among all songs.

Since its release on July 19, Jimin's 'Who' has shown a steady upward trend.

On its release day, it set an impressive debut record with 9,999,983 streams, and as of August 19, it has maintained the number one position on the 'Global Daily Top Songs' chart for 20 days, the longest for a K-Pop solo artist's song.

Jimin's individual achievements are also noteworthy.

As of August 19, he ranked 43rd on Spotify's 'Global Daily Artist' chart, the highest among K-Pop artists, and has been on the chart for 281 consecutive days.
On the 'South Korea Daily Artist' chart, he has maintained the number one position for 390 consecutive days (total of 585 consecutive days, with a total of 744 days on the chart), and he is the only K-Pop solo artist to rank 72nd on the 'US Daily Artist' chart.

'Who' debuted at number three on the Spotify 'Global Daily Top Songs' chart and held the number one spot for 20 days.

It has consistently remained in the 'Top 5' for over 30 consecutive days, maintaining its popularity.

However, there has been some criticism regarding the lack of promotion support from the label, as the track ranks lower on Spotify's influential playlist 'Today's Top Hits (TTH).'

Despite these concerns, 'Who' continues to perform well on major charts.

In its fourth week, it ranks 29th on the US Billboard Hot 100 and 6th on the Billboard Global 200, showing stable streaming and high chart positions. This demonstrates that Jimin is paving a new path as a K-Pop artist, solidifying his position as an irreplaceable artist.

Music critics have praised Jimin's achievement, stating, "Jimin's success reaffirms the global impact of K-Pop solo artists.

His record on Spotify highlights his standing in the global music market."

Fans have also taken to social media to celebrate Jimin's accomplishment.
One fan shared,

"I'm proud that Jimin's music is being loved worldwide. I hope even more people will listen to his music in the future."

This milestone confirms the potential for K-Pop solo artists to break into the global market.
As Jimin continues to set new records, all eyes are on the impact he will have on the K-Pop industry.
