ZEROBASEONE Conquers Japan! Debut Album Tops Oricon Chart, Breaks K-Pop Sales Records
ZEROBASEONE has proven their immense popularity in Japan by achieving a remarkable feat.
Their debut album has topped the Oricon Chart and recorded the highest sales for a K-Pop debut album, making history.
On March 20, Oricon released its latest rankings, revealing that ZEROBASEONE's first Japanese single "Yura Yura -Unmei no Hana-" (ゆらゆら -運命の花-) sold an impressive 187,694 copies on its first day of release.
This is the highest first-day sales for a K-Pop debut album in history.
The single also claimed the number one spot on the Oricon Daily Single Ranking for March 19.
"Yura Yura -Unmei no Hana-" includes three tracks in total: the title song, "In Bloom", and "CRUSH".
The title track combines drum and bass and trap sounds to express the exhilarating emotions of embarking on a new journey.
Even before their official debut in Japan, ZEROBASEONE had already gained significant popularity in the country.
Their first mini-album "Youth in the Shade" sold 1.24 million copies, and their second mini-album "Melting Point" sold approximately 1.45 million copies. Both albums achieved double million-seller status upon their release. Additionally, they previously ranked second on the Oricon Weekly Album Ranking on July 24 and November 20 of last year.
ZEROBASEONE's first Japanese fan concert, scheduled for March 23-24 at the K-Arena Yokohama, has already sold out, proving the high level of interest from local fans.
