Min Hee-jin, CEO of ADOR, Extends Olive Branch to HYBE, Proposing Constructive Direction for All

Min Hee-jin, CEO of ADOR, Extends Olive Branch to HYBE, Proposing Constructive Direction for All

Min Hee-jin, CEO of ADOR, extended an olive branch to HYBE during a press conference held at the Press Center in Jung-gu, Seoul, on the 31st, proposing a constructive direction for everyone involved.

Unlike her first press conference, this one was calm. She briefly teared up at the beginning, expressing her gratitude: "There are so many people to thank. The support and encouragement from everyone has been a great strength to me."

Min Hee-jin began by addressing the court's decision to grant the injunction preventing HYBE from exercising its voting rights: "I feel a great burden has been lifted from me personally. My name has been cleared."

She continued, "Plans for the Tokyo Dome concert, next year's world tour, and year-end albums were thrown into confusion due to a month-long dispute. I honestly don't understand why or for whom this vision should be thwarted."

Min Hee-jin expressed her hopes towards HYBE: "I hope the clear goal is to faithfully and smoothly implement the plans NewJeans and I have made. I wish we could find a good compromise."

She added, "Even while fighting, I don't understand who this dispute is for or what it aims to achieve. I'm tired of blaming and slandering others. Everyone is fed up."

She emphasized, "The court ruled that I did not commit any breach of trust against ADOR. I believe we need to discuss things constructively and healthily. Let's move for everyone's benefit."

When asked about the court's phrase 'potentially betraying HYBE,' Min Hee-jin explained, "This is a phrase used to reject the other party's (HYBE's) claim of breach of trust."

She continued, "The concepts of betrayal and breach of trust are not really related. As a manager, results should speak for themselves. What top boy bands achieve in 5-7 years, ADOR achieved in 2 years. Is that betrayal?"

Min Hee-jin reiterated her desire to continue working as ADOR's CEO with NewJeans: "I want to carry on with the plans we have with NewJeans. Isn't this beneficial to everyone?"

She admitted, "Emotionally, I've been hurt, and they (HYBE) have been hurt too. We've both been affected. We've fought long enough. It's time to move on to a new chapter, a chapter for everyone."

Regarding the controversial KakaoTalk messages that criticized other idols within HYBE's labels and mentioned NewJeans members, Min Hee-jin refrained from commenting: "Those messages are from three years ago. I don't even remember saying those things. They are not the issue here. Even if curious, adults should refrain from discussing them to protect the artists."

Her legal representative also emphasized, "All these messages were extracted illegally. It was confirmed that there was no reason for the audit in the first place. Please refrain from using them."

Min Hee-jin voiced concern over the uncertainty of her CEO position. Her legal representative stated, "Min Hee-jin could still be dismissed. It is possible with just a resolution from the directors."

On the 30th, two directors associated with Min Hee-jin were dismissed, and three new directors from HYBE were appointed. "Each director can convene a board meeting and request Min Hee-jin's dismissal," the representative expressed concern.
