BTS Achieves First 5x Platinum Certification in the US with 'Dynamite'

BTS has added a significant record in the US.
According to the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA), BTS's digital single 'Dynamite,' released in August 2020, has earned 5x Platinum certification for selling over 5 million units in the US. This is the first time BTS has received a 5x Platinum, among their nine RIAA Platinum certifications, highlighting their global presence.

'Dynamite' is a disco-pop genre healing song that conveys a message of hope with its bright and lively mood.
It's BTS's first song entirely in English. The lyrics capture the preciousness of life and the uniqueness of everyday moments. Upon release, it swept the global music market by achieving the first-ever No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 for a K-pop artist.

'Dynamite' was also the first nomination for a Korean pop artist at the American Grammy Awards and received the fastest-ever diamond certification (over 500 million streams) from the Japan Record Association in the streaming category.
