ILLIT's track 'Magnetic' from their mini-album 'Super Real Me' has surpassed 200 million streams on Spotify, the world's largest music streaming platform.
As of the 22nd (local time), Spotify reported that 'Magnetic,' the title track of ILLIT's mini-album 'Super Real Me,' had reached a cumulative 200,123,933 streams as of the 21st.
This achievement comes 56 days after the track was released in March and about a month after it hit the 100 million streaming mark. ILLIT has thus achieved their first 200 million streams on Spotify, setting a new record for the shortest time to reach this milestone for a K-pop girl group’s debut song.
‘Magnetic’ has also shown consistent popularity, ranking on Spotify's 'Weekly Top Songs Global' for eight consecutive weeks and 'Weekly Top Songs USA' for seven consecutive weeks.
Previously, the song made history by entering the US Billboard main song chart 'Hot 100' at 91st place (as of April 20) and the UK 'Official Singles Top 100' at 80th place (as of April 5), both of which were first-time and shortest-period records for a K-pop debut song.
Additionally, ‘Super Real Me’ entered the main album chart 'Billboard 200' at 93rd place (as of May 11), a significant achievement given the lack of promotional activities in the US.
Domestically, 'Magnetic' continues to perform well, ranking second on Melon’s latest weekly chart (for the period of May 13-19) and topping three categories (Global K-pop, Digital, Streaming) on Circle Chart’s April monthly chart. Another track from the album, ‘Lucky Girl Syndrome,’ secured the 14th spot on Bugs’ weekly chart and the 38th spot on Melon’s weekly chart.
