According to the latest chart preview posted on the official SNS by the American music media Billboard on the 8th (local time), the title track 'Magnetic' from ILLIT's mini-album 'SUPER REAL ME' ranked 8th on the 'Global 200' and 2nd on the 'Global (Excl. U.S.)' charts.
The song climbed 55 and 31 spots respectively on the two charts compared to the previous week, reaching the highest ranking for a K-pop group's debut song in history.
The 'Global 200' is a chart created by Billboard to reflect the latest trends in the pop music market and is considered one of the indicators of global popularity.
Unlike the main song chart 'Hot 100', which adds up broadcast scores and album sales, the 'Global 200' is characterized by aggregating streaming and sales from over 200 countries/regions worldwide,
including the United States, to rank the songs.
'Magnetic' debuted at No. 63 on the latest Spotify 'Weekly Top Songs US' and No. 80 on the UK Official Singles 'Top 100'.
It also topped the weekly charts of major domestic music sites such as Bugs and Melon (aggregated from April 1-7), ranking 1st and 3rd respectively.
Furthermore, it ranked 6th on the Genie weekly chart aggregated during the same period, achieving the feat of entering the 'Top 10'. As such, ILLIT is establishing itself as the strongest 5th generation K-pop
girl group and is gathering expectations for their future activities.
Meanwhile, ILLIT made their debut on March 25th with the release of their mini-album 'SUPER REAL ME'.
