BTS's Jin Becomes LANEIGE's First Male Global Ambassador, Sparking Worldwide Sell-Outs

Global beauty brand LANEIGE has created a worldwide sensation by appointing BTS’s Jin as its first male global ambassador.

Following the announcement on September 27, the "WELCOME! This is BTS Jin’s Cream Skin Lab" campaign, launched on October 1, received an explosive response, leading to global sell-outs of LANEIGE products.

As soon as Jin's LANEIGE Cream Skin campaign kicked off, Olive Young, Korea’s largest drugstore chain, saw the product take the top spot in sales rankings across all genders and age groups.

It ranked No. 1 among all age groups, from teens to those in their 40s and above, and claimed the top spot in the weekly rankings, with physical stores also experiencing stock shortages.

The response in international markets was equally enthusiastic.

On LANEIGE’s U.S. official website, the product topped the best-seller list for seven days straight, proving Jin's influence as the ‘Sold-Out King’.

Similar sell-outs occurred in Hong Kong, the Philippines, and Singapore, while Indonesia saw a restock after products sold out.

On China’s largest online shopping platforms, Taobao/Tmall, Jin's limited-edition mini photobook sold out immediately upon release, showcasing the intense global demand.

LANEIGE is pushing aggressive global marketing by featuring Jin as the face of the brand.

In New York’s Times Square, Jin’s LANEIGE Cream Skin ad is being broadcast on dual screens, and large billboards showcasing his image are being displayed in key locations around the world, including Korea.

This appointment as LANEIGE's ambassador further proves Jin’s global popularity.

Previously, Jin caused sell-outs of high-end products as a global ambassador for French high-jewelry brand FRED and Italian luxury brand GUCCI.

One marketing expert commented, "Jin’s ‘essential beauty’ strongly resonates with global consumers, elevating not only popularity but also brand value."

Another beauty industry insider added, "Jin is pioneering a new era in the men’s beauty market, and his popularity across all age groups is especially noteworthy."

Jin's role as LANEIGE’s global ambassador is seen as another example of the global influence of K-pop stars.
