UNIS is an 8-member girl group consisting of Jin Hyeon-joo, Nana, Jellydanka, Kotoko, Bang Yun-ha, Alicia, Oh Yoon-ah, and Im Seo-won.

GRAMMY.com highlighted the group’s unique formation through SBS’s global audition program Universe Ticket and their multinational lineup, with members from Korea, Japan, and the Philippines.

From their debut, UNIS has shown impressive achievements.

Their first mini-album WE UNIS, released in March, ranked 8th in first-week sales among all girl group debuts, demonstrating their potential. This was an extraordinary feat for a rookie group, showcasing the strength of their pre-debut fanbase.

With the release of CURIOUS, they broke their own records.

The album topped the iTunes charts in five countries: Germany, Qatar, Colombia, Finland, and the Philippines, further expanding their international reach. This shows that UNIS is not limited to the domestic market but is quickly making their mark globally.

UNIS has also been active internationally.

On September 23rd, they successfully held their first fan meeting in Tokyo, Japan, where they connected directly with local fans, solidifying their presence in the Japanese market. The Japanese members, in particular, were praised for their standout performances.

On the 25th, UNIS will host their first fan concert UNIS in CURIOUSland at the New Frontier Theater in Manila, Philippines, another step in strengthening their presence in Asia.

With a Filipino member in the group, high interest from local fans is expected.

It will be interesting to see how they grow on the international stage."

Being selected by GRAMMY.com further demonstrates the growing global influence of K-pop.

With UNIS attracting international attention so early in their career, the industry is watching closely to see what position they will take in the K-pop scene.

There is great anticipation for how UNIS will build on this achievement, especially with their first fan concert in the Philippines.

Many are eager to see if it will further solidify their global influence and elevate their status in the K-pop industry.

UNIS’s success represents new possibilities for the K-pop industry.

The rapid international recognition of this multinational group, born from a global audition, signals that K-pop’s globalization is accelerating.
