Teddy's New Girl Group MEOVV:
"We Will Become the Leading 5th-Generation Girl Group"

MEOVV, the first girl group produced by Teddy, head of The Black Label, has confidently expressed their ambition to become the leading group of the 5th generation.

During their debut showcase on the 6th, MEOVV shared their journey and goals as they took their first step into the K-pop industry.

The group consists of five members: GAWON, SOOIN, ANNA, NARIN, and ELLA, who already gained recognition through her acting.
Teddy, known for producing top K-pop artists like Big Bang, 2NE1, and BLACKPINK, was involved in everything from member selection to production, raising high expectations even before their debut.

GAWON, expressing her feelings about the debut, said, "I'm thrilled to finally stand on the stage I've always dreamed of.

I’m grateful to everyone who has supported and helped us.

We’ve worked non-stop for this moment, so I hope everyone enjoys what we’ve prepared." ELLA added, "Today is a day I’ll never forget. We will work hard to make MEOVV a group that leaves a lasting impression on many people."

ANNA explained the meaning behind the group name,

MEOVV, saying, "Our group aims to show powerful and cool music with a bold style, but we also have a cute and soft side.
The name, inspired by a cat’s meow, represents this duality." This perfectly reflects MEOVV's musical direction and identity.

The group also talked about the advice they received from producer Teddy and senior artists during their preparation.

GAWON expressed gratitude for Teddy’s guidance and mentioned how advice from artists like BLACKPINK's Rosé and Jeon Somi was incredibly helpful.

She especially recalled Rosé’s words about "the importance of deeply loving music when given the chance to fully embrace it."

On what sets MEOVV apart in the highly competitive K-pop scene, ELLA confidently stated, "Each of us has a unique strength, and together, we have incredible charisma." NARIN emphasized the importance of individuality, saying, "I think the most important quality for a K-pop girl group is having distinct characters.

It’s also crucial to have the spirit to push beyond limits and respect that journey.

We will work hard to become the leading girl group of the 5th generation."

When asked about their future goals, SOOIN shared, "I want to communicate with the audience, sing together, and meet fans from different countries through a world tour.

I also dream of performing at places like university festivals, where we can feel the young energy." ANNA added, "I want MEOVV to have a clear image when people hear our name. We aim to be a diverse group that leaves a lasting impact, and I hope people will say, 'That's MEOVV!'"

MEOVV's debut digital single "MEOVV" will be released on September 6 at 6 PM on all major music platforms.

With Teddy’s production, the members’ exceptional skills, and their strong determination, MEOVV’s debut is expected to make waves in the K-pop scene.

Fans are eagerly watching to see how MEOVV will carve out their unique space in the industry and grow into a standout group.
