SM Entertainment Denies High-Level Rumors Involving NCT's Johnny and Haechan

High-level rumors involving NCT's Johnny and Haechan have been spreading.
SM Entertainment has strongly denied these allegations, stating, "These are completely false."

On June 4th, SM Entertainment released a statement saying, "Unfounded and provocative rumors regarding Johnny and Haechan, involving allegations of prostitution and drug use, are being recklessly spread online."

Upon investigation, it was confirmed that none of these rumors are true. SM emphasized, "These are criminal acts that seriously damage the reputation of our artists."

The company plans to take strong action against those who create and spread these rumors. "We have already collected sufficient evidence on many posts and will not overlook these criminal acts," they stated.

They further warned, "Regardless of nationality, we will take legal action without any leniency or settlements. We hope everyone realizes that all malicious posts are subject to punishment."

On the same day, Japanese netizens posted serious rumors on social media, claiming the two met with women and engaged in prostitution at a Japanese hotel in March.

Korean netizens translated and further spread these rumors, which even included false accusations of drug use by the two members. During this process, Heechul was also dragged into the rumors.

Heechul responded through 'Bubble,' saying, "I am writing briefly so as not to worry anyone. I have never met our juniors outside separately, nor do I even have their contact information."

Official Statement from SM Entertainment:

Hello, this is SM Entertainment.

Currently, provocative rumors involving Johnny and Haechan, such as prostitution and drug use, are being recklessly spread and reproduced online. We confirm that these allegations are completely false and are criminal acts that severely damage the reputation of our artists.

Moreover, indiscriminate rumor generation and malicious slander against our artists, including NCT and Heechul, continue.

We have already collected sufficient evidence on many related posts and will not overlook these criminal acts. Regardless of nationality, we will pursue legal action without leniency or settlements.

Please be aware that any malicious posts made from this moment on may also be subject to punishment.

Thank you.
