NewJeans Secure Top Spots on Billboard Charts with New Release

NewJeans have landed in the top positions on major Billboard charts with their new release.

On June 4th, Billboard revealed some of the latest chart rankings (dated June 8th, covering the period from May 24th to 30th). NewJeans' double single title track 'How Sweet' secured the 7th spot on the 'Global' chart (excluding the US).

Billboard stated, "How Sweet garnered 42.8 million streams and over 5,000 downloads in one week," adding, "This marks NewJeans' fifth 'Global' Top 10 song overall."

Another track from the release, 'Bubble Gum,' is also gaining popularity, ranking 18th on the same chart. It achieved over 25 million streams and 4,000 downloads. Notably, this song entered the chart at 166th even before its official release.

The Global chart reflects the trends of the popular music market as tracked by Billboard. It ranks songs based on streaming and download sales from over 200 regions worldwide, making it a key indicator of global popularity.

NewJeans continue to enjoy strong popularity on major domestic music charts as well. 'How Sweet' and 'Bubble Gum' are consistently loved, ranking 2nd and 3rd on platforms like Melon, Bugs, and FLO.

In celebration of the release of 'How Sweet,' NewJeans will open an offline pop-up store. The 'How Sweet POP-UP' will be held from June 5th to 17th at Line Friends Square in Sinsa.
