Danielle and Minji, members of the group NewJeans, have shared their feelings amid the internal conflict at HYBE, showing a strengthened attitude and focusing on protecting their fans.
On the 19th, Danielle expressed on the official fan community, "When I eat something delicious, I think of the people I love. Eating and sleeping are important. Actually, I haven't been able to sleep well lately, so I've been trying different methods. I listen to music, take warm showers, and even asked a member if we could stay together at night."
She continued, "Fortunately, I slept really well last night. I think everything happens for a reason. It might be tough now, but eventually, it will pass. Like a bad dream or a stormy day, you'll eventually forget how it all started. It's just something you have to get through."
Earlier, Minji had reassured fans, saying, "NewJeans is stronger than you think and worry about. We are bunnies with grit and guns. Didn't I say so? Hop hop." She added, "You know the gun is a joke, right? It's a love bullet."
The conflict between HYBE and its subsidiary ADOR began on the 22nd of last month. HYBE announced that it had launched an audit after detecting signs of management rights usurpation by ADOR's CEO Min Hee-jin and its board of directors. During the interim audit, HYBE claimed to have secured evidence of breach of trust by Min and the ADOR board, leading to their criminal complaint against ADOR for breach of trust.
In response, Min Hee-jin held a press conference on the 25th of the same month, denying the allegations, saying, "I have never tried to usurp management rights. I am a salaried CEO with no motive or intention. It can't be a breach of trust." However, HYBE has requested the dismissal of Min and the ADOR board members as an agenda item for an extraordinary shareholders' meeting. Since HYBE owns 80% of ADOR's shares, Min is likely to be dismissed if the meeting is held. Consequently, Min has filed for an injunction to prevent HYBE from exercising its voting rights.
The extraordinary shareholders' meeting for ADOR is scheduled for the 31st, and the court's decision on the injunction filed by ADOR is expected before the 31st.
