K-Pop 4th generation representative girl groups are making their mark by consecutively performing at Tokyo Dome.
NewJeans held their solo fan meeting, 'Bunnies Camp 2024 Tokyo Dome', on June 26th and 27th at Tokyo Dome.
This was NewJeans' first solo performance in Japan and their second fan meeting following the one held in Korea last year. Notably, NewJeans set a new record by becoming the fastest overseas artist to perform at Tokyo Dome, just 1 year and 11 months after their debut.
Over two days, 91,200 fans attended the fan meeting at Tokyo Dome.
NewJeans captivated the audience with performances of their hit songs and solo stages for about 150 minutes.
Despite being a fan meeting rather than a concert, they performed over 20 setlist songs, drawing significant attention.
Following NewJeans, aespa is also set to take the stage at Tokyo Dome. The difference is that aespa already performed there last year. They set a record as the fastest girl group to perform at Tokyo Dome, 2 years and 9 months after their debut. They were the first 4th generation girl group to conquer Tokyo Dome.
Last year's aespa concert at Tokyo Dome attracted 94,000 attendees over two days, filling even the restricted-view seats. Although they had not officially debuted in Japan at the time, the concert was a resounding success. In August, aespa will return to Tokyo Dome as part of their second world tour, 'SYNK: PARALLEL LINE'. This time, they will be performing after their Japanese debut single release on July 3rd, marking a new milestone.
In September, IVE will visit Tokyo Dome for the first time since their debut. Like aespa, they will be performing at Tokyo Dome 2 years and 9 months after debut. Their encore performance of the first world tour, 'IVE THE 1ST WORLD TOUR 'SHOW WHAT I HAVE'', will be held at Tokyo Dome.
IVE has previously held a fan concert in Japan in February last year and made history as the first Korean artist to perform at K-Arena Yokohama in November. Now, they are set to perform at Tokyo Dome, solidifying their status as a leading K-pop 4th generation girl group.
With the enthusiastic response to NewJeans' fan meeting in Japan, there are high expectations for the upcoming Tokyo Dome performances by aespa and IVE. The spotlight is on the "Ace" (aespa, IVE, NewJeans) of K-Pop 4th generation girl groups as they continue to dominate.
