Actor Jung Hae-in is receiving praise for his first attempt at a romantic comedy through tvN’s drama Love Next Door.
This project has further expanded his acting spectrum and raised expectations for his performance in the upcoming film Veteran 2.

In Love Next Door, Jung Hae-in plays Choi Seung-hyo, an up-and-coming star in South Korea's architecture scene.
While he is portrayed as a perfect "golden boy," his character shows a different side in front of his childhood friend Bae Seok-ryu (played by Jung So-min), revealing a complex personality.

As of episode 6, Seung-hyo is coming to terms with his feelings for Seok-ryu, realizing that his emotions extend beyond friendship.

Jung Hae-in's nuanced portrayal of this emotional journey has garnered sympathy and engagement from viewers.

Drama critic Kim stated, "Jung Hae-in's acting adds realism and depth to the somewhat cliché setup of loving a childhood friend, making it feel fresh."

He added, "Jung’s subtle and controlled emotional expression effectively conveys inner feelings that are not spoken through dialogue."
