Jimin’s ‘Like Crazy’ Climbs Charts in the US and Japan, Shining in Global Popularity

Jimin's "Like Crazy" by BTS has seen a resurgence in popularity on Spotify charts in the US and Japan, showcasing its global appeal.

On June 9, “Like Crazy” recorded over 650,000 streams on the US Spotify Daily Top Songs chart, achieving its highest daily streaming count. It climbed 15 spots from the previous day, reaching 48th place, the highest and only Korean song on the chart.

The song continues to set records on the US Spotify Daily Top Songs chart with 231 days of chart presence, the longest for a Korean song. It also placed 87th on the US Spotify Weekly Top Songs chart (May 31 - June 6) with over 3.72 million streams, marking its 32nd week on the chart, the first and only Korean song to do so.

In Japan, "Like Crazy" is also making waves. According to the June 9 report, it recorded over 140,000 daily streams on the Japan Spotify Daily Top Songs chart, reaching its peak position of 41st, proving its enduring popularity 14 months after release.

On the Japan Spotify Weekly Top Songs chart (May 31 - June 6), the song achieved its highest weekly streaming count of over 770,000 streams, placing 52nd and continuing its remarkable climb.

"Like Crazy" is enjoying success within the top 50 on both the US and Japan Daily Top Songs charts. It also maintained the No. 1 spot on the Korean Daily Chart for 230 days and surpassed 2.2 million streams on the global Spotify Daily Top Songs chart on May 9, placing 44th globally.

With 442 days on the charts and 184 days within the top 50, Jimin continues to break records as a K-pop solo artist. His achievements are breaking barriers in major music markets such as the US and Japan, where non-English-speaking artists traditionally find it challenging to succeed.

Additionally, on June 5, Jimin’s first solo album 'FACE' reached over 500,000 units sold in the US, earning a Gold certification from the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA). This makes him the first Asian solo artist to achieve such a feat with a non-English (Korean) album in the US.
