BTS Dominates Circle Chart's 2024 H1 Global K-Pop Chart

BTS swept the Circle Chart's Global K-Pop Chart for the first half of 2024, according to the site that tracks domestic music and album sales.
The results released on the 12th show that BTS achieved an overwhelming feat, charting a total of 35 songs through both group and solo activities.

As a group, BTS placed nine songs on the chart, including hits like "Dynamite," "Butter," and "Boy With Luv (Feat. Halsey)."
Notably, despite not releasing any new group songs this year, their past hits continue to receive immense love. The inclusion of "Spring Day," released in 2017, highlights the timeless popularity of their music.

The members' solo activities also saw remarkable success.

Jungkook set a record by charting 13 songs as a solo artist. His solo album "GOLDEN" had ten tracks that made it to the chart, along with "Still With You," "Standing Next to You - USHER Remix," and "Never Let Go."

V also made his mark with tracks from his solo album "Layover" and digital single "FRI(END)S." Jimin charted with songs from his "FACE" album and the single "Closer Than This." RM appeared on the chart with songs from his second solo album "Right Place, Wrong Person" and the title track from his first album "Indigo."

Suga (Agust D) entered the chart with "Haegeum," the title track from his album "D-DAY."

Jin's "The Astronaut" and J-Hope's "NEURON (with Gaeko, Yoon Mirae)" were also included in the first half's summary chart. Additionally, Suga's collaboration with PSY on "That That" remained on the charts.

A music industry expert commented,
"BTS's achievements demonstrate the group's continued global influence. It's noteworthy that each member's solo activities are also performing well."

These results affirm that BTS continues to receive constant love from fans through their individual activities even after pausing group activities.

The enduring popularity of their past releases highlights the lasting value of their music.

Furthermore, these achievements suggest the ongoing expansion of K-pop's global influence. The steady global consumption of music by BTS and other K-pop artists indicates the sustained growth potential of the K-pop industry.

As anticipation builds for the members' future solo activities and the eventual resumption of group activities, the music industry eagerly awaits the new records BTS will set in the K-pop market and the global music industry.
