Apple TV+'s 'Pachinko' is returning with a new season, set to premiere on August 23rd.
'Pachinko' begins with a story of forbidden love. It spans Korea, Japan, and the United States, depicting a chronicle of war and peace, love and separation, victory and judgment.
Season 1 portrayed the epic saga of a Korean immigrant family forced to leave their homeland during the oppressive early 1900s. It explored hope and dreams across four generations.
Season 1 received a shower of praise from foreign media immediately upon release. The script, acting, and direction were all highly acclaimed. It garnered numerous awards, proving its artistic value.
The series won the Best Foreign Language Series award at the Critics' Choice Awards and the Breakthrough Series – Over 40 Minutes award at the Gotham Awards.
The main cast from Season 1, including Youn Yuh-jung, Lee Min-ho, and Kim Min-ha, will reunite. Kim Sung-kyu joins as a new face, adding to the anticipation.
Additionally, characters who delivered captivating performances in Season 1 will reappear. These include Jin Ha, Jung Eun-chae, Anna Sawai, Han Jun-woo, and Soji Arai.
'Pachinko' Season 2 will consist of eight episodes in total. The first episode will be released on August 23rd, with a new episode debuting every week thereafter.
