According to the latest iTunes update (as of the 27th), aespa has claimed the top spot on the Worldwide Album Chart with their first full-length album, 'Armageddon'.
The album has secured the number one position in 25 regions/countries worldwide, including the United States, Australia, Canada, Mexico, Norway, New Zealand, Brazil, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand, and Hong Kong.
Even China's restrictions on Korean content were overcome, as 'Armageddon' topped the Tencent Music K-pop chart and the QQ Music digital album sales chart.
In addition, 'Armageddon' received double platinum certification just three hours after its release. Double platinum is awarded for sales exceeding 2 million yuan.
The album's popularity in Japan is also notable, topping the real-time rising chart on the local platform AWA and the daily chart on the music site mora.
The title track of the same name shot to 15th place on the iTunes Worldwide Song Chart and ranked first in Thailand, Colombia, Brazil, the Philippines, and Romania.
The album is also performing well on domestic charts. As of the 28th, 'Armageddon' is ranked 9th on Melon's 'Top 100', and another title track, 'Supernova', is at number one.
